Salary Survey Results (see how much Competitive Intel practitioners are getting paid)

+ PLG Product Marketing Masterclass & Competing in Different Categories

The results are in!

91 anonymous Product Marketers and Competitive Intel folks shared their salary data with us to help improve pay transparency.

Here are some insights that stood out to us:

  • Ask for six figures: PMM and CI are high-impact roles. And they’re getting paid as such. 36 survey responders identified as having 0 - 3 years of experience in PMM or CI, and 24 of them reported still making six-figure salaries.

  • Bonuses are common: more than half of survey responders receive annual bonuses.

  • Pay jumps by experience: as you spend more time in the PMM and CI profession, make sure you’re up to speed on how much your salary should increase. Here are the averages we saw:

    • 0 - 3 years of experience: $117,016

    • 4 - 7 years of experience: $141,939

    • 8+ years of experience: $169,501

But you can slice and dice the data a lot further than that. Feel free to make your own copy of the raw data and edit as you please.

Hope it helps guide your career and salary conversations in the coming months!

PS: a big thank you to The Compete Network for helping me get the word out on this survey. They publish great content to help folks learn about Competitive Enablement. Check β€˜em out!

Every website should explain β€œwhy us” vs. the status quo on their website. Try slotting it into your About Us page like G2 does.
